Join the Bade & Fisher families for a beautiful day of golf, food and fun, and help raise funds critical to developing therapies for Myotonic Dystrophy and Duchenne muscular dystrophy. All Golf Classic proceeds will support research programs at the Myotonic and CureDuchenne.

The 14th Annual Bade Fisher Memorial Golf Classic will take place at the Aliso Viejo Country Club in Aliso Viejo, California, on October 30, 2017. The event will gather the support of community members, business associates and friends of the Bade and Fisher families, who have been friends since the 1930s, spanning three generations.

Charlie and Chris Bade, as well as their friend Dick Fisher, all golf enthusiasts, were devastated when their family members were diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, the Bade family with Myotonic Dystrophy and the Fisher family with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Chris Bade and Dick Fisher started the golf tournament in 2004 to honor Charlie Bade and to raise money to find a cure for these devastating muscle diseases. Chris, Nick and Alex have since passed away from muscular dystrophy-related complications, bringing additional meaning and poignancy to the annual fundraising tournament.

Today, the tournament celebrates the lives of three generations of the Bade family and Alex, while raising critical funds to find therapies for Duchenne and Myotonic Dystrophy.
