From MDF to You and Back Again

More than 100 members of our community accepted MDF’s invitation this month to participate in an online Community Survey about when, how and how often you like to hear from us. As a result, we have new intelligence that will help us make what you see and read in the MDF Dispatch (electronic newsletter), website and on Facebook even more useful.

Survey respondents told us that the newsletter articles they value most are those that focus on research to find a cure, strategies for managing DM, and clinical trials. When we asked who you like to hear from, we heard that you appreciate hearing from physicians, scientists/researchers and physical therapists, as well as from MDF staff. We also heard that there is a desire for more factual information from specialists, including neurologists, speech therapists, nutritionists and psychologists.

We learned that most people like receiving the MDF Dispatch twice each month. In addition to email, survey respondents told us that they also like physical mail and that they enjoying seeing updates from MDF on Facebook.

Our website and webinars got high marks. Many respondents also said they would appreciate knowing when new content has been posted to the website. We are working on a strategy to better serve you with that information.

Finally, we were very pleased to hear from respondents that they rely on MDF as a resource for high quality information and they see us as an energetic, compassionate advocate.

Thank you sincerely to everyone who participated in the survey. We are now in the process of designing a communications plan to make the best use of the findings and improve our communications with you.
