She works as an employment advocate at her state’s protection and advocacy organization for people with disabilities. Marisa spends most of her work days advising callers regarding disability-related workplace discrimination issues and advocating for individuals struggling to receive services from the state vocational rehabilitation system.<\/p>\n This session will cover practical considerations for navigating the workplace, including how and when to request reasonable accommodations and what to know about disclosure during the hiring process.
