Ses recherches portent sur un mod\u00e8le de souris transg\u00e9nique BAC pour la dystrophie myotonique de type 2 (DM2) avec &gt;7 000 r\u00e9p\u00e9titions CCTG. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9e aux \u00e9tudes de mutation d&rsquo;oncog\u00e8nes \u00e0 l&rsquo;UCF et \u00e0 la recherche sur la dyskin\u00e9sie ciliaire primitive \u00e0 l&rsquo;UNC Chapel Hill. \u00c0 l&rsquo;UF, elle a acquis une expertise en mati\u00e8re de dimensionnement des r\u00e9p\u00e9titions, de gestion de colonies et d&rsquo;analyse ph\u00e9notypique.  <\/p>\n<p>Hannah a cofond\u00e9 la NeuroGenetics Student Organization, s&rsquo;engage aupr\u00e8s de la communaut\u00e9 DM et a re\u00e7u le prix du meilleur poster en sciences fondamentales \u00e0 l&rsquo;IDMC-14. Son projet, \u00ab Caract\u00e9risation d&rsquo;un mod\u00e8le de souris transg\u00e9nique BAC pour la DM2 \u00bb, analysera l&rsquo;impact de la longueur des r\u00e9p\u00e9titions sur la maladie \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide du s\u00e9quen\u00e7age d&rsquo;ARN et des dosages Meso Scale Discovery, dans le but d&rsquo;identifier des biomarqueurs sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 la DM2 et d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer la compr\u00e9hension des m\u00e9canismes de la maladie et du d\u00e9veloppement th\u00e9rapeutique.
