Clinical Resources

MDF is currently expanding its offering of resources and information for clinicians treating people living with myotonic dystrophy. Below you will find anesthesia guidelines, guidelines for physical and occupational therapists, and nursing recommendations. In 2017, MDF will release the first ever consensus-driven care recommendations for adults with myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1), congenital and childhood-onset DM1, and people living with DM2. The recommendations will include study areas ranging from cardiac and pulmonary care to end of life considerations.
