Meet Haley Martinelli, Esq.

Haley Martinelli is an attorney in Cleveland, Ohio and lives with myotonic dystrophy type 2 (DM2). Haley was diagnosed with DM2 at the age of 23 and being the first in her family to be diagnosed, Haley turned to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation for information and support. She now facilitates a DM2 support group held virtually for folks living with DM2 to join from anywhere. Haley has spoken at various MDF events and in 2022 she joined the MDF Board of Directors. She has served as Board Secretary since January 2025.

Medical & Scientific Advisory Committee
A group of leading myotonic dystrophy specialists and researchers from around the globe. Our advisors provide guidance, grant peer reviews, and speak at our annual conference.

Our staff and interns oversee the Foundation’s daily operations and work closely with the Board to guide and implement our strategic priorities.
Support Group Facilitators
Our support group facilitators are volunteers who give their time and energy to guide discussions, share resources, and foster meaningful support for individuals and families living with DM.
