The 2017 Myotonic Annual Conference takes place Friday, September 8, 2017, through Saturday, September 9, 2017, in San Francisco, C.A, and will feature Myotonic's largest and most varied array of sessions and meetings for community members and professionals.
The Myotonic Annual Conference is being held in conjunction with the International Myotonic Dystrophy Consortium (IDMC) global meeting this year. Every two years, IDMC brings together leading academic researchers and industry drug developers in the most significant scientific forum that is held for myotonic dystrophy (DM). IDMC and the Myotonic Annual Conference rarely overlap, providing a unique opportunity for a vibrant mix of interactions and exposure between the myotonic dystrophy patient, industry and professional communities.
The 2017 Myotonic Annual Conference will gather more than 400 families, clinicians, researchers, industry representatives and caregivers working to improve the lives of people living with myotonic dystrophy. Myotonic hosts this annual meeting to:
-
Educate the community about daily living and disease management strategies, resources, products and services
-
Deliver research updates and inspire hope
-
Reduce patient and family isolation via formal networking and community-building opportunities with other attendees
-
Advocate to accelerate access to therapies and resources for those living with DM
