If you were lucky enough to attend the screening of “Hazel” at our annual conference, you won’t be surprised to hear that this touching family story won the hearts of critics as well.  Artist Jacqueline Donachie of Northumbria University in Glasgow, Scotland was honored by the Arts and Humanities Research Council of the UK for “Hazel.”

It won “Best Film by an AHRC-Funded Doctoral Student Since 1998.” The judges’ remarks included: “Original, simple and evocative; a deceptively simple film of real eloquence.”
