Peter Desforges is the CEO of Peak Real Estate Management & Investment Inc., a firm he founded in 2022 to manage his commercial real estate portfolio. His real estate career began at Wohl Investment Company in 1985, where he served as President from 1992 to 2021. Mr. Desforges and his wife, Suzanne, are the Proprietors of Desforges Vineyards in Sonoma’s Russian River Valley, which has produced multiple award-winning wines. Suzanne and their son Luke were diagnosed with Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1 (DM1) in May of 2022. Their unaffected son, Chandler is currently pursuing an engineering degree with an emphasis on bio-informatics and hopes to someday help find a treatment or cure for DM1.
A UC Berkeley graduate in Economics, Mr. Desforges has been active in his community, having chaired Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and served on boards for St. Margaret’s Episcopal School, Pacific Symphony, and the Orange County Wine & Food Society. He is currently the Founding Board Chair of the Berkeley Liberty Initiative which is focused on bringing diversity of thought and civil discourse to the UC Berkeley campus.
