Rebecca Coplin is the Chief Administrator of Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in Hood River, Oregon. Her husband Mark and their sons were diagnosed with DM1. Mark co-leads facilitation of MDF’s Pacific Northwest Support Group.

Prior to her role as Chief Administrator, Rebecca has served with distinction in numerous roles at Providence for over two decades. Her many responsibilities have included management of clinical programming, strategic planning and revenue cycles, and initiatives to build and maintain strong local community partnerships. Rebecca graduated from the University of Delaware with honors earning an undergraduate bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and chemistry. She earned her master’s degree in health care administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

In 2019, Rebecca and her family participated in their first MDF Annual Conference in Philadelphia where they found support, information, and mentorship. Inspired by the warm welcome they received from the amazing families, clinicians, and researchers in attendance, Rebecca, Mark and their sons embarked on a new journey to help individuals and families living with DM in the Pacific Northwest and grow MDF’s nationwide network of advocates seeking to increase federal funding for DM research, improve access and coverage for medical care, and advance drug development.

In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys camping and exploring the Pacific Northwest with Mark, often accompanied by their two college-aged sons.
