Luke Desforges is a young adult living with DM1, specifically as a Juvenile Onset Adult (JOA). He currently resides in Orange County, California, where he was born and raised. Luke co-facilitates the monthly JOA Warriors Support Group and helps ensure his peers have good experiences in the JOA Track Sessions at MDF Conferences.
Luke likes to spend time taking his puppy on walks, playing video and board games with friends, writing creative stories, and most of all, mastering his magic tricks. Because MDF has helped him and his family so much, Luke hopes to use his extroverted and outgoing personality to raise awareness of myotonic dystrophy and help others know that support is out there.
