Liz Long is a member of the DM1 community who lives outside Denver, Colorado. When she is not caring for her more than 50 houseplants, she is pampering her two rescue cats, doing chair yoga, or listening to an audiobook.
She is excited to serve as an MDF Awareness Ambassador and help share information about DM with the community and beyond. With many family members living with DM, Liz understands the importance of sharing information, learning together, and making sure families have access to helpful resources.
She hopes that by telling her story, she can help prevent unnecessary miscommunications and help others feel more informed and supported.
